Cranstons Brampton Foodhall has been open little over a month and has already hit a remarkable milestone. Last week saw the 10,000th customer walk through the new foodhall’s doors. The special customer, Carol Potts was awarded a hamper featuring produce from the many local suppliers that the new Food Hall show cases.
Cranstons originally operated a small traditional butchers shop on Brampton’s front street but moved across the road into the former HSBC bank on February 15th. The new Food Hall offers Brampton customer a much bigger range of Cranstons local farm produce along with produce from more than 20 Cumbrian suppliers including Mr Vikkis, Eden Brewery, Country Puddings and Cumberland Mustard. There is a new takeaway hot counter and the premises are licensed to sell, local ales, local spirits and imported wines.
Carol Potts Cranstons Brampton’s 10,000th customer said: “I am absolutely delighted to be the 10,000 customer of the new foodhall, I live in Brampton and used to shop in Cranstons traditional butchers shop across the road. The new shop is a vast improvement with so much more space and produce on offer. It’s a wonderful new addition to Brampton’s high street.’’
Mark Mallinson, Brampton Foodhall manager said: “We are all thrilled to have reached this milestone just over a month into trading in the new foodhall. Our customers are really enjoying the extra space, the local produce and new ranges. The local community seem pleased that one of Brampton’s iconic buildings had a new use. The initial trading results are very encouraging, it’s great to see the people of Brampton have embraced the new shop.’’
