Cranstons butchers have recruited four new members of staff to expand their existing Brampton Shop team ahead of the opening of the new Brampton Food Hall which is set to open on Monday 15th February.
The Food Hall, which will occupy the town’s former HSBC bank on Front Street, will offer Brampton’s loyal customer base an expanded range of Cranstons quality locally-sourced beef, pork and lamb in addition to produce from scores of local suppliers, including jams, chutneys and preserves, freshly-baked bread, and wines and locally-brewed ales. It will also feature a takeaway ‘Hot Counter’ and a pick and mix salad bar.
The staff members are currently training at the firm’s Cumbrian Food Hall in Penrith, learning the skills and abilities needed to provide customers with excellent quality customer service and hands-on, knowledgeable advice on the products that will be sold at the Brampton Food Hall.
Brampton Food Hall Manager Mark Mallinson says, ‘I am delighted to welcome the new recruits to our existing team here at Brampton. As well as creating much-needed employment for the town it means we’ll be able to offer customers the very best in good old fashioned Cranstons customer service, as the new staff are currently undergoing intensive training under the watchful eyes of experienced staff at the Penrith Food Hall - we take great care to recruit the right person for the job then develop them professionally as they progress. A good team is key to a shopping experience that is second-to-none.’
Sarah Simms, one of the new staff members, says, ‘I am enjoying my training and am looking forward to joining the team up at Brampton when the new Food Hall opens at the start of February. We’ll have been training for nearly three months by the time the new Food Hall opens – there’s a lot to learn and the standard required is very high, as you would expect from Cranstons!’
The new Food Hall will open to the public at 10am on Monday 15th February. Customers on opening day can enjoy a slice of cake and a glass of fizz along with local produce samples galore.
