Cumbrian Food Champions Cranstons will be selling heart-shaped Cumbrian steaks this Valentine’s Day as part of their popular weekly ‘Steak Night’ promotion.
The butterfly cut bistro rumps will be expertly prepared by Cranstons master butchers providing a heartfelt centrepiece for any home cooked Valentines Day meal.
‘The heart-shaped steaks are a bit of fun’, says Philip Cranston. ‘We see a big increase in steak sales on Valentines day and wanted to offer customers something a bit different’
All Cranstons steaks are are cut from locally reared beef and hung for a minimum of 21 days to let the beefs natural flavour mature.
Rob McManus, Butchery Manager at the Cumbrian Food Hall explains:’We are really proud of the quality of our steak which reflects the fact that we have full control over the product from field to counter. We buy our beef from the best stockmen in the region and hang and prepare it in house. The process couldn’t be more traditional or honest and the result tastes fantastic’.
The 8oz heart-shaped steaks will be available next Thursday 14th of Feb and Friday 15th at the Cumbrian Food Hall and Cranstons 4 traditional butcher shops priced at just £5.50 along with a range of more traditional steak cuts from Fillet to Rib Eye. Cranstons regular 2 for £10 steak promotion will also be running on both days at their Food Hall, Carlisle and Hexham shops.
